The Red Truck

Sam and Mia were good friends. They loved to play together every day. One day they both wanted the little red truck. "It is mine!" said Sam. "No! It is mine!" said Mia. They pulled the truck very hard. Crack! A wheel fell right off. Now the truck was broken. Both friends felt very sad.

We Forgive

Sam looked at his friend. He took a slow, deep breath. "I am sorry," he said softly. "I am sorry too," said Mia. Together they fixed the little wheel. Then they shared a big, warm hug. Now they could play once more. Forgiving made their hearts feel glad again.

The Bible tells of a father and his son. The son ran away and did wrong. But the father forgave him with a hug. This story is inspired by the lost son, Luke 15. God is glad when we forgive too.
