The New Boy

It was lunchtime at school. Mia sat down at the lunch table. A new boy sat all by himself. His name was Sam, and he was new. Sam did not have a lunch bag. His hands were empty and his head was down. Mia opened her own lunch box slowly. She had one sandwich and one red apple. Her tummy felt hungry for every bite. But poor Sam had nothing to eat.

Enough to Share

Mia broke her sandwich into two halves. She gave the bigger half to Sam. "You can share my lunch with me," she said. Sam looked up and gave a big smile. Sam said thank you very much. The two children ate and laughed together. Mia's tummy was still a little bit hungry. But her heart felt warm and full inside. God gives us just enough to share. A small gift can make a big friend.
