Rain, Rain

Rain fell on the town all day. Sam had a big red umbrella. He liked the sound of the rain. He walked to school in the rain. He saw a girl by the gate. She had no umbrella at all. Her coat was wet and cold. "Come under with me!" said Sam. They walked and stayed nice and dry. She smiled and said, "Thank you!"

One Big Umbrella

Next they saw a boy named Max. His hat was wet. His shoes were wet too. "Come in!" said Sam with a smile. Then came a man and his dog. The dog gave a little shake. Sam shared his umbrella with them all. The umbrella was full of friends. They walked close and laughed a lot. Sam got a little wet outside. But his heart felt warm and glad. Sharing made the gray day bright. Rain is more fun with friends.
