Here is an elephant. The elephant is big. It has big ears. It has big feet. It eats big leaves. Stomp, stomp goes the elephant.

Here is an ant. The ant is small. It has small legs. It walks on a leaf. It eats small crumbs. Tip, tip goes the ant.

The elephant is big. The ant is small. But both can walk. But both can eat. Big and small, walking along!

The Mountain and the Pebble

Here is a mountain. The mountain is big. It is tall, tall, tall. Its top touches the clouds. Snow sits on its head.

Here is a pebble. The pebble is small. It sits by the river. It is round and smooth. It fits in your hand.

The mountain is big. The pebble is small. But both are made of rock. Big rock, small rock, hello!

The Whale and the Minnow

Here is a whale. The whale is big. It swims in the deep sea. It blows water up high. Whoosh goes the whale!

Here is a minnow. The minnow is small. It swims in the little stream. It flips its little tail. Plip goes the minnow!

The whale is big. The minnow is small. But both love to swim. Splash, splash, big and small!

Big Helps, Small Helps

Big things can help. The elephant moves a log. The mountain holds the snow. The whale feeds the sea.

Small things can help too. The ant carries a seed. The pebble makes a path. The minnow feeds the bird.
